Debit cards are usually covered against fraud, but I would recommend savings be in a separate account, and only projected expenses be in the main debit card used. However, and even better idea, is just to withdraw what you need for the week in cash, and use cash. There are very few things you actually need a card for.

It has been a big challenge especially as a business person who has ventured into investment but can't really navigate around the market. Cash on a fix may not generate income as much as cash invested , so it is very wise to take up different investment policies and expand the different coast of wealth through these portfolios as the case maybe a good plan of better tomorrow starts with now.

Good one, it is the fact about investing. It is important one guide against these lapses that can lead to serious calamity though a proper guidance from a professional will prevent and control the level of losses one may have possibly incur over time. This was the case with me when I ventured into investment maybe because i was actually going through some difficult times that led to derail in concentration. To the best of it my contact with a professional who guided me through these difficulties and applications of different techniques and strategies respectively eventually gave me aid over it and i was able to conquer and made so much gain as time passes by that is why I am always grateful to him(Jason Herman Pierce)for his efforts and techniques.

Hey Mr Expert. You made a statement that one of the disadvantages of a reverse mortgage is that if you do not pay your property/school taxes the RM lender can take your house. If someone does NOT have a RM and they do not pay those propty/school taxes the town will throw you out of your house. How is that a disadvantage of having a reverse mortgage? If anything, having a RM makes you better able to pay those taxes. And the value of your credit line increases over time, allowing more room to borrow in the future.

My experience has been opposite for 2023 taxes filed in 2024. I bought my house back in 2022 and last year was the first year we made a whole year of payments. Our interest rate is 5.25% on 255k, but I benefited greatly from the deduction thanks to loan amortization. You have to keep in mind that you pay most of your interest at the beginning of the loan, so that meant that we paid A LOT of interest in our first year and we barely made a dent on the principal. This resulted in a surprisingly large return when in reality I wasn’t expecting much. Most long-time homeowners won’t see the benefit of this deduction, but first time buyers might, and those are the people who probably need it most anyway. I know I did!

Mortgage rates are currently at an all time high since 2000(23 years) and based on statistics on inflation, we might see that number skyrocket further, a 30-year fixed rate was only 5% this time last year, so do I just keep waiting for a housing crash before buying or redirect my focus to the equity market

The stock market is no different, to maintain profit you need to have some in-depth knowledge on the market. I mostly just buy and hold stocks, but my portfolio has been mostly in the red for quite awhile now. Unfortunately to be able to make good gains, you’ll need to be consistent and restructure your portfolio frequently.

I completely understand the impact of the new year on financial decisions - it's transformative. While I've found success in investing, especially with the guidance of my advisor Timothy Eric Meek, I still appreciate the solid foundation i had. The principles align with the core values of financial discipline

Great. My mom put me on one of her accounts so she could give me a credit card and have me run errands for her. But she stalls paying off her credit cards because it stresses her out. I had no idea her adding me to the account could impact my credit. Not that she asked first.
